Mojob startet som en markedsplass for småjobber i 2015. En gruppe studenter ved NTNU så et tomrom i jobbmarkedet for moderne teknologi som hjelper mennesker og bedrifter med å finne hverandre. Gjennom sin lidenskap for mobilvennlig teknologi fikk de unge gründerne raskt vind i seilene - markedsplassen vokste til 20 000 brukere og 1000 jobber innen kort tid.

In 2017-2018 Mojob became a part of Otiga Group and pivoted from being a marketplace for small jobs into a recruitment platform (or applicant tracking system, ATS) for small to medium-sized companies. Otiga Group comprises leading players in Nordic recruitment and staffing services, such as Agito, Assessit, and Personalhuset. Today Mojob combines user-testing on talents and recruitment experts from Otiga Group to develop cutting-edge technologies for recruitment, employer branding, and staffing.

En annen kjerneverdi hos Mojob er sosialt ansvar. Mojob har vært spesielt engasjert og involvert i prosjekter for tilrettelegging av jobbmuligheter for flyktninger. F.eks. har talentappen «Mojob for jobbsøkere» blitt brukt for å forenkle og å trygge søkeprosessen. Videre er Mojob fast bestemt på å hjelpe organisasjoner med rekrutteringsteknologi som favoriserer et mangfold av talenter og mer objektive rekrutteringsprosesser.
